My sweet sweet Zachary

Today was one of those days when Zachary showed what a sweet and loving little boy he is. I dropped Brian off at the airport at 8am this morning for a 2 week trip to Cleveland and then picked Zach up from Mark's house when I got back. After his nap, Zach came and cuddled up with me, which is one of my favorite times of the day, he like to cuddle after his nap. Zach to me: "Mommy, I REALLY love you...I have an idea (looking up at me with those baby blues twinkling), lets have a nice date!!!" When I asked where we should go, he said Chipotle! A man after my own heart. So, we went to the park, Chipotle-where he continuously told me what a nice date we were having-and then to the store to rent Alvin and the Chipmunks. We came home and he we cuddled, watched the movie and he shared his popcorn with me. Of course, now he is bouncing from one side of the room to the other thinking he is a rockstar. I sure did enjoy some quiet downtime with him though. I have decided to make a tradition of having special dates with my boys, I am just hoping they will still think it is cool when they are 15. :)

Here We Go

Each and every day with my amazing boys is an adventure. Zachary constantly has me on my toes and Isaiah is not far behind him. They are beautiful special boys and do something to amaze me daily. I decided to start a blog so that I could share some of my favorite stories with our friends and family and also keep those who are far away up to date on the boys development and happenings in our lives.
Right now we are going through some changes. Brian recently got promoted to the claims department at Progressive. It is a great move in the right direction for him but it has been a challenge because his new office is in Denver. We have changed vehicles (yes, again) and are considering moving farther north. We shall see what the next few months bring.
I am still staying home with the boys and considering what I want to be when I grow up. While each day brings on new challenges, I love that I get to be here with them. My days are filled with laundry, dishes, cleaning, diapers, feeding and all that good stuff but to go along with it are smiles, giggles, hugs and amazement and the two beautiful little beings that Brian and I created together. Things have been very different since my mom passed away in December but I try each and every day to be the best possible mother to my boys knowing that is what she would want.
Zachary is Mr. Personality. He has been in part-time preschool this year at dist 49 and has loved it. Unfortunately, he didn't get a spot next year so we will be looking for something new. From hugging me and asking if it makes me happy to telling me to be patient when asking him to clean up or telling Brian to "chill out" when he was on him about something, his wit never ceases to amaze me. He keeps me laughing that's for sure. He is super smart...I say too smart for my own good, and a fantastic negotiator. Most days, he loves his baby brother and is so proud to show him off to anyone willing to listen. He is also one of the most loving little kids I have ever seen. My heart is warmed multiple times a day by his thoughtfulness and consideration.
Isaiah is an amazing baby. He is very laid back most of the time and loves people. It seems as though he already has quite a sense of humor. I fear that he is going to be my little dare devil. He likes to crawl to the stairs as fast as he can and then cracks up when he gets there, he also tries to roll off anything you lay him on. At his nine month check up he was over 20lbs so he is a big boy.
My mom said it best when she said that she could see heaven in Zachary's eyes and that Isaiah's smile could light up the world.
That is where I will sign off for the day.
